GAME DAY- Women's basketball at D'Youville, December 4, 2021
THE LADY BOBCATS ARE IN BUFFALO
BUFFALO, NEW YORK - The Lady Bobcats remain in Buffalo to play D'Youville on December 4th at 1:00 PM after a tough loss against Villa Maria. D'Youville is a well-coached team and a viable competitor with plenty of talent. Albany has one day to refresh on the road, get some homework done and prepare for their second game in four days. It will be the first match between the two teams in their history. Head Coach Jahmel Samuels says they will need to "harass them [D'Youville], defensively and execute on the offensive end for 40 minutes. Discipline and offense for us will help us against them."
The 'cats will be playing without their 6' center, Cherokee Jones as she is recovering from injury. "It really is going to come down to us all getting on the same page with the young ladies that are playing now and making it one big happy family." Head Coach Jahmel Samuels
The Bobcats current overall record stands at 2-4; D'Youville is 4-1.
INCOMING PLAYERS
Kiara Horman is a 5'11" guard/forward from BSC Wisconsin who is an effective all-around player with a 3.3 GPA.
Manuela Virguez is a 5'10" combo guard from Venezuela-Redemption Christian Academy who's quick on both offense and defense. She is expected to provide instant offense and defense to the program.
